An alpha version of my new game “Wizarz – Duel of the spellcasters” is available for Linux. Make sure to read the manual too, as the UI can be overwhelming and the gameplay confusing at first.
Here is a video of an earlier alpha version
The source as tar.gz, a windows installer and a windows version without installer are available for download on the Circuits page.
Circuits for PC (as in “Personal Computer”) is done. It just need some packaging, and runs on windows XP/Vista/7, Linux and OSX. As stated before, it is open source and free to download
In the end I rewrote it completely in python using pygame. It is not particularly processor-hungry, so there was no need for C++ and this way I was pretty sure it would run on most machines. The file will be available later today.
Back to porting Circuits after a family related two month hiatus. looking good so far. The plan is to release it for free and hope some people will fell inclined to donate some coins. The reason is simple : I don’t believe in copy protections. They don’t work and they are generally a pain for people who actually buy the game AND the developer. On the other hand I still need to buy food from time to time, so donations it will be …
Back to work …
Currently porting Circuits to Windows and Linux, as, seriously, Google’s Android Market is more and more irritating. I’d be grateful if anybody wants to compile it for OSX when I’m done.
My thanks go to Shinobiwan23 who posted a review of Circuits on youtube! He isn’t particularly good at the game (I’m being nice here;) but at least people can now see what the game looks like ![]()
I added the genesis and gameplay description for my Android game Pin It. Also a few new links to other stuff I did.
What don’t you do to avoid doing actual work? sigh. Really need to finish my ADC2 contest entry.
I added the description for my ANDROID game Circuits. For those (few) who do own the game : there are some remarks about ways to make more points that you might not know about yet.
Enjoy
Here we go .. Another blog on the intertube. In the upcoming months I will upload the games I wrote (at least those I can find again), as well as some movies of my commercial games.
In the meantime, enjoy the funky background
